Country Blocking and Travel Notification

Why Travel Notifications?

The Travel Notification service allows cardholders to advise their credit unions of their travel plans so that Travel Notifications can be applied at the Cooperative Node to allow their transactions to be processed normally.

Why Country Blocking?

With the implementation of chip technology making exploitation of the skimmed data more challenging in Canada, exploitation has moved almost 100% to international networks to take advantage of the more than 100 countries that still rely on magnetic stripe technology.

The Country Blocking service allows the credit union to block countries and US States to reduce your credit union’s exposure to fraudulent transactions from non-chip transactions.
