This card allows you instant access to your funds for making purchases at participating merchants and through Automated Teller Machines. All you need is your MEMBER CARD® Debit Card PIN (personal identification number) to gain confidential access to your accounts.

  • Withdraw cash at ATMs displaying the ACCULINK®, INTERAC, AND CIRRUS® LOGOS.
  • Make deposits at any credit union ATM. Deposits verified next business day at which time you will be able to access the deposited funds.
  • Transfer money to and from accounts within the same membership number.
  • Buyer Protection -full 90 days after the purchase using your MEMBER CARD® Debit Card, the item is protected if it’s lost, stolen, dropped and broken or even consumed in a fire (valid claims will be satisfied by either replacing the lost or damaged item, or by cash payment in an amount not to exceed the amount of the total purchase price).
  • Extended Warranty – doubles the warranty period of a purchased item up to one year, as long as the manufacturer’s warranty is valid in Canada for 5 years or less. Shopping at a merchant who doesn’t offer interac Direct payment – make a purchase using a cheque drawn on your insured account and receive the same protection for your purchase.

NEW- Interac Flash®- The Interac Flash® service is a contactless payment with the functionality of Interac® Debit, and has all the benefits of Interac® Debit but it allows you to pay for smaller purchases faster and easier. When making a purchase for less than $100, you can choose to use the functionality by simply holding your card in front of a supporting reader at a check out. Your purchases will be deducted instantly from your bank account. The transaction uses chip processing and relies on the same secure network as your Pierceland Credit Union debit card – no need to insert your card or enter your PIN.

The cards have a cumulative limit and once reached, insertion of the card and entering your PIN will be required to process the transaction. After that, more transactions may be processed as “contactless” transactions until the limit is again reached.

Global Payment MasterCard

These cards are accepted worldwide and the funds are automatically debited from your chequing account. If you have a line of credit attached to your chequing account, it will access that as well. With the use of a PIN you can also access cash from ATM machines.

  • Purchase Protection Insurance – Most purchases you make with your Global Payment card are automatically insured against theft or damage for a full 90 days from the date of purchase.
  • Extended Warranty  Insurance – Doubles the original manufacturer’s warranty up to one extra year on most purchases. COMMON CARRIER TRAVEL INSURANCE – Up to $100,000 for you and your immediate family when you pay for the entire travel tickets by Mastercard including a deposit if there is any.
  • Accidental Death Insurance – Up to $1000 provided to card holders.
  • Master Road Assist – Provides 24 hour roadside assistance anywhere in Canada or the continental US at preset reasonable rates.
