Junior Board Member Application

This is a mentoring program for the development of leadership and governance skills. If you are interested, please fill out and submit the following application before Friday, October 6th, 2017.

Applicant Section

If I am successful in being selected for this mentorship program, I understand I will be asked to attend and participate in all regular monthly meetings of the Board of Directors of Pierceland Credit Union. My attendance will also be expected from time to time at any special meetings of the board.

As a member of the Board of Directors, confidentiality of any and all information shared with me will be held in the strictest of confidence. If for any reason, either knowingly or unknowingly, I disclose or confirm any information regarding the business of the credit union, or if I act in a manner that negatively impacts the image or reputation of the credit union, I will immediately tender my resignation as the Junior Board Member to the President of Pierceland Credit Union. Along with the resignation will be the forfeiture of all funds placed into the scholarship program, on my behalf, by Pierceland Credit Union.

If my resignation should be for any other reason than stated above, my scholarship shall be limited to the extent of my participation as a Junior Board Member based on the director remuneration schedule of the Pierceland Credit Union. In the event the resignation occurs prior to my graduation from high school and enrollment in a post secondary educational facility, the scholarship amount so earned will be held in trust by the credit union pending official notification of enrollment in post secondary studies.

It is understood that the scholarship must be used for post secondary studies. To receive these funds proof of enrollment must be provided. If for any reason I am not attending a post secondary educational facility, I may apply for payout of this scholarship by writing a letter to the Board of Directors identifying the use of these funds. The Board of Directors will then adjudicate on the appropriateness of the request using the spirit and intent of the program as a guide. The credit union will hold all funds in trust for a period of five (5) years following completion of secondary school. After this time the funds will revert to the credit union to be used at their discretion.

I acknowledge the above and my responsibilities as a Junior Board Member.
